Daily Care Calls
Our trained telephony experts make 3-5 minute calls one, two or three times a day to check in on your loved one, remind them of medications, ensure they are safe and well and, perhaps most importantly, have a friendly conversation.
All Proof Essentials Caregivers at Proof of Care are called 'Experienced Caregivers,' with at least two years of professional care experience. While they lack formal caregiving or nursing education, they bring experience, enthusiasm, and compassion to their roles. Experienced Caregivers handle tasks like companionship, light housekeeping, and personal errands. For more complex needs, a Proof Premium Career Caregiver may be required, as determined by our Care Management team. Experienced Caregivers provide unskilled services, helping clients with hygiene, nutrition, and living space, and follow a detailed Care Plan to assist clients in maintaining independence.
Proof of Care's top tier of service, Proof Premium, is delivered by what we at POC like to call our 'Career Caregivers'. These care professionals have completed specialized training in their chosen career field and have the skills and knowledge to assist in more complex care situations, as well as delivering exceptional companionship and home support.
Proof of Care’s Career Caregivers need to be certified, which comes after completing either a Canadian Health Care Assistant (HHA), Personal Support Worker (PSW) or equivalent course, or have completed Nursing qualifications either domestically or abroad. They must have a current First Aid Certificate, Police Check & have passed rigorous reference checking.
With Proof Private, you are able to choose the services you want, from whom, when and at what price. A Proof of Care Care Manager will meet with you in person, perform a thorough assessment of your needs, create a detailed care plan for your Caregivers to follow, then will use our decade of Caregiver talent identification to recruit between 1 and 3 Caregivers that meet your specific needs. From there it's over to you. You meet with each Caregiver, negotiate an employment agreement and you take over as both employer and Care Manager from that point onwards. With Proof Private, you are able to continue living independently in your own home and remain connected with your community, while maintaining full control of your expenses and care management.
